Communities are developed with a strong emphasis on the environmental, historical, and geological preservation of a site, and several projects have received accolades for Green Building practices as well as Historic Tree Preservation Awards. Summerwood has been named Mint Hill’s first Conservation District. In addition, Pace/Dowd are members of The National Arbor Day Foundation and has become a corporate member Steward for the organization.
